BIOGRAPHY

Min-Chih Liao obtained his BSc and MSc in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, in 1998 and 2000. He subsequently underwent a compulsory two-year national service in the R.O.C Military Police, obtaining the rank of lieutenant.

Min-Chih Liao joined the Nottingham Transportation Engineering Centre (NTEC), United Kingdom, having completed his PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Nottingham in 2008. He was a material engineer at Dan Morrissey Irl Ltd in Republic of Ireland from 2007-2010. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering at the NCKU from 2010-2014. From 2014-2015, he was an Associate Professor in the College of Civil Engineering at the Hunan University, PR China.

Min-Chih Liao is now a Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), Taiwan.
