Non-tenure Track Faculty Positions: Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (assigned to Paraguay all year)

Faculty Position:

The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST/Taiwan Tech) invites applications for ONE outstanding project teacher (must be assigned to Paraguay for at least 1 year) at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. While applications are welcome year-round, the official appointment will be processed in accordance with the regulations and procedures of Taiwan Tech. The rank and compensation of the offered position will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience as detailed below.

Candidate Qualification:

1. A Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field.
2. The selected candidates should have the ability to teach undergraduate courses in English. E.g. Hydrology for Engineers, Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulic Engineering and other related courses.

Application Materials:

1. Resume (clearly indicating the academic background, working experiences and major research areas) (Please use the official template available on our website).
2. Photocopies of Diplomas (B.S., M.S. and Ph.D.) (color copies. Degrees obtained outside of Taiwan must be verified by Taiwan's overseas representative offices.). If the Ph.D. diploma is not yet available by the application deadline, a formal letter from the dissertation advisor stating the expected graduation date (before February 2027) must be submitted.
3. Official Transcripts (color copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Foreign transcripts must be verified by Taiwan's overseas representative offices).
4. Ph.D. dissertation (Full text)
5. Publication List and Selected Representative Works (a complete list of publications, along with full-text copies of representative papers published within the last 5 years (up to 10 papers)).
6. Contact information of three references.
7. Statement of research and teaching plans.
8. In-Service Certificate or certificate of employment (Certificates indicating the exact start and end dates of employment.)
9. Teacher’s certificate (issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan)(if applicable)
10. Other supplemental materials (such as awards, patents, major service contributions, or evidence of external funding.)
11. Application form (Please use the official template available on our website.)

Please send hard copies via registered mail, clearly marking 'Application for Non-tenure Track faculty position, assigned to Paraguay' on the envelope.
